Image sequence playback
Open a folder of numbered EXR, DPX or other frames, pick the frame rate, and play it back natively. No QuickTime wrapper first.
File and codec information
One panel for file, video, audio and advanced container detail. ⌘I
Markers on source timecode
Press M while the clip runs. The marker lands on the source timecode
and stays on the timeline as a return point.
Loop playback
Repeat a range continuously for timing, animation and motion checks.

In and out editing
Define a precise range, then trim, delete, copy it to the bin, or export only the selected material.
Append and combine
Join clips in a chosen order and save one new movie. Where all sources match, cuts snap to keyframes and nothing is re-encoded.
LUT preview
Load a .cube, toggle it against the ungraded image during playback, and
choose whether it also reaches the SDI output.
Aspect ratio masks
1.43, 1.78, 1.85, 2.39, 2.40, 9:16, 4:5 and custom, with action safe, title safe, center crosshair and adjustable opacity.
Audio operations
Extract as WAV, AIFF or original codec. Remove, replace, add a track, or mute individual channels.
Captions and subtitles
Load a caption or subtitle file for review, or extract embedded CEA-608 from the stream.
Blackmagic SDI output
Send frame-accurate playback through a connected Blackmagic device for review rooms and client displays.
Keyboard-first
J K L to shuttle, arrows to step a frame, ⌘← and
⌘→ to jump a second, 0–9 to scrub by tenths.
Check the frame before anyone else does.
Overlay the delivery frame on full-frame media without touching the source. Action safe, title safe, center crosshair, adjustable opacity, and any aspect from 1.43 through 4:5.
